Can I share one pet with my family or a sitter?
Yes, sharing is the point. Invite someone by their email address or Dana @username and choose their access: a caregiver logs care and reads the timeline, and a limited caregiver, the sitter role, sees only the tasks meant for them. Sitter access can end on a date you set.
Does Dana work on Android and tablets, or just iPhone?
Both. Dana runs on iPhone and Android phones and installs on iPad and Android tablets, in the same portrait layout for now. Home-screen widgets work on both, and a Live Activity on iPhone counts down the streak's last hours.
Is Dana AI a replacement for my veterinarian?
No. A Dana AI check helps you decide what to do next, emergency now, call the vet today, or monitor at home, using what you describe and your pet's species and age. It informs that decision; diagnosis and treatment always belong to your vet.
What does the free plan actually include?
The full coordination core: unlimited pets and tasks, caregiver sharing with attribution, streaks with monthly freezes, health tracking with reminders, and a set of Dana AI checks. Pro adds depth: a Dana AI allowance that renews every day instead of the free plan’s one-time set, photos and follow-up questions on a check, the Records Vault, and more streak freezes.
What happens when I have no internet?
Dana is server-first with honest offline behavior: your actions apply instantly on screen and roll back with a clear message if they could not reach the server — no silent sync queue that fails days later.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Account deletion and a data export of your records are built in and self-serve, so your pet's history is yours, including when you leave.
How do you pronounce Dana, and is it the same as Donna?
Dana is a Persian word meaning wise. In Persian it is said dâ-nâ, with the a of father rather than the ay of day, which puts it very close to Donna in English — so if you searched for Donna and landed here, this is the app you wanted. Plenty of English speakers say DAY-nuh instead. Both are us.
